1. Interested parties have to register by 15 May 2015.

A. Local participants
I. Online registration

Singapore Paper Presenter: Register here. After which, please proceed to Fo Guang Shan (Singapore) to make payment for the registration fees of SGD20.

Singapore Observer: Register here. After which, please proceed to Fo Guang Shan (Singapore) to make payment for the registration fees of SGD8.

II. Registration at Fo Guang Shan (Singapore)
Register and make payment for the registration fees of SGD20 if you are a local presenter.

Register and make payment for the registration fees of SGD8 if you are a local observer.

B. Overseas participants

Participants can proceed to their local Fo Guang Shan temples to make payment and purchase Venerable Master’s book “For all Living Beings” or purchase it online (the Chinese version can be purchased from http://www.gandha.com.tw and the English version can be purchased from http://blpusa.com.

Date of submission of essay: 15th June 2015

  1. The review must be in MS Word (.doc or .docx format), between 3000-5000 words using 宋体11磅字体 (for Chinese) or Arial 11-point font (for English), with A4-sized page and a 1-inch margin all round.
  2. The essay should be emailed to yad@blia.sg
  3. Results of the selection will be announced on 31 Jul 2015

  1. Do not submit multiple entries of the same paper. If identified, the participant will be disqualified immediately.
  2. Do not submit plagiarized works, previously presented works (including translations from other languages) or ghost-written works.  If identified, the awards will be revoked immediately.
  3. If the paper is condensed from the from the participant’s academic thesis, it must be amended to a considerable degree, otherwise it shall be inadmissible.
  4. When selected paper requires extensive revision prior to publication, the participant is obliged to do the revisions personally.
  5. All selected papers will be included in the Proceedings of Fo Guang Shan Institute of Humanistic Buddhism and the copyright will be owned by Fo Guang Shan Institute of Humanistic Buddhism
